AI Humanizer
Rewrite AI-sounding text so it reads naturally, in the tone you choose. Every rewrite is checked to keep your numbers, links and citations.
What the AI Humanizer does
Text written with AI help often has a recognizable feel: the same stock phrases, evenly sized sentences, and words like "delve", "pivotal" and "furthermore" doing a lot of work. The AI Humanizer rewrites that kind of draft so it reads the way a careful person would write it.
It changes wording, rhythm and sentence structure, and is instructed to leave your substance alone. After each section is rewritten, we check that its numbers (including dates), links, email addresses and citation markers are all still there, that its length and paragraph count stay close to your original, and, for longer passages, that it is still in the same language. A section that fails these checks is retried once. Names and meaning are not checked automatically, so read the result before you use it.
How it works
Add your text
Paste it, type it, upload a .txt, .pdf or .docx file, or try one of the samples. You need at least 20 words.
Choose a tone
Keep your original register or pick Natural, Academic, Simple or Informal, then select Humanize.
Review and refine
Changed words are highlighted so you can check every edit. Regenerate for another version, compare versions, then copy or download the one you like.
Tones explained
Original
Removes the AI-sounding patterns but keeps the formality and voice of your draft.
Natural
Everyday vocabulary and varied sentence length, like a thoughtful person writing clearly. A good default.
Academic
Formal and precise, in an objective third person, with careful hedging where your draft is uncertain.
Simple
Short sentences and common words that are easy for any reader, while keeping every point you made.
Informal
Warm and conversational, with contractions, as if you were explaining it to a friend.
Honest limits
No tool can guarantee passing every AI detector. Detectors disagree with each other, change without notice and sometimes flag writing that people wrote entirely by hand. We do not show made-up "human scores" or promise results we cannot check.
The humanizer is also not a fact checker. It keeps the claims in your text, so if a claim was wrong before, it will still be wrong afterwards. Read the result before you use it, and follow your school's or employer's rules on AI assistance.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI Humanizer free?
Yes, you can try it without an account. Guests get 1 run a day, up to 500 words each. Signing in with your email gives you more free rewrites every day. See Pricing for the current limits.
Will the result pass AI detectors?
We cannot promise that, and no honest tool can. Detectors are inconsistent and often wrong. What we aim for is clearer, more natural writing that still says exactly what you meant.
Will it change my facts or citations?
It is designed not to. After each section is rewritten, we check that every number (including dates), link, email address and citation marker such as (Smith, 2020) or [1] is still there, and that the length and paragraph count stay close to your original. A section that fails is retried once; if it still fails, the run stops with an error and your quota is refunded. Names, wording and meaning are not checked automatically, so review the result before you use it.
Which files can I upload?
Plain text (.txt, up to 1 MB), Word documents (.docx, up to 10 MB) and PDFs with selectable text (.pdf, up to 15 MB and 50 pages). Scanned PDFs are images, so there is no text for us to read yet.
What is the difference between tones?
Original keeps your level of formality. Natural reads like everyday clear writing, Academic is formal and objective, Simple uses short sentences and common words, and Informal is relaxed and conversational.
Do you keep my text?
Your runs are saved in your history so you can come back to them, and you can delete any entry at any time from the History panel. Our Privacy Policy explains what we store and for how long.
